Identify who is responsible for tenant administration and who can approve access changes. Your business should understand how administrative ownership is maintained.

Review what happens when someone joins, changes role or leaves. Licensing, permissions and access removal should have a clear process and owner.
3. Separate the responsibilities
Email administration, file sharing, identity security, backup and archiving serve different needs. Ask which are in your scope and who manages the others.
4. Plan the next review
As the business changes, revisit the environment with your IT partner. Agree on priorities and make configuration decisions understandable to the people responsible for the business.
